FAST
Hilary Norton’s career spans 25 years in public policy, community development, and transportation.
Hilary became FAST’s founding Executive Director in 2008.
FAST’s major initiatives include: 1) Mobility Hubs – carshare, bikeshare, bike parking, EV charging and traveler services at transit stations, job and education centers; 2) comprehensive arterial improvements to improve travel time, encourage mode shift, and promote safety and transit connectivity; 3) Metro ExpressLanes implementation throughout LA County, especially using Metro’s national model to fund active transportation and transit with net toll revenues; 4) Expanding LA County’s bus rapid transit (BRT) network; and 5) Sixth Street Viaduct – the largest bridge reconstruction project in LA’s history, adding bicycle and pedestrian lanes, and connections to the LA River and Metro Red Line.
Hilary Co-Chairs the BizFed / Metro Transportation Roundtable, is Co-Vice Chair of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce’s Transportation and Goods Movement Council, and Co-Chair of the BizFed/Metro Proposed Ballot Measure for 2016 Committee and on the LA Chamber of Commerce’s Working Group on Metro’s Proposed Ballot Measure for 2016.
