Vartan Yegiyan

Vartan Yegiyan has been in the automotive industry for over 36 years. He started out as an Automotive Mechanic, worked in the private sector before joining the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).  Vartan has been with LAPD over 31 years and worked up through the ranks from Auto Mechanic to the Police Administrator II Rank. His current responsibilities include assisting his Deputy Chief overseeing LAPD's Motor Transport Division, Emergency 9-1-1 Communications Division, Personnel Division, Recruitment and Employment Division, Facilities Management Division, and the Records and Identification Division.  

 

For a short period of time, between 2006 and 2008, Vartan was in charge of Los Angeles World Airport’s (LAX) Fleet operation, before he returned to LAPD.

 

Vartan Yegiyan's educational background includes an Associate in Science Degree in Auto Mechanics from Los Angeles Trade Technical College; Associate in Arts Degree in Business Management from Los Angeles Valley College, and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance and Management Degree from California State University, Northridge.
